Hi! My name is Melissa Tracey and I am a Kindergarten teacher at Kingsway. I was born and raised in Michigan and attended Hope College, receiving a degree in Elementary Education. I continued my education a few years later and obtained a Master’s degree at Western Michigan University.
I taught 4th grade for 5 years and then became a full-time mom when my daughter Kara was born. Three years later, our second child, Kevin, was born, and I still enjoyed just being my kid’s mom. My husband, John, got a job transfer and we moved to Indiana in the fall of 2006. Soon after our move, God led us to Kingsway Christian School. We knew instantly that Kingsway was a special place where our children would grow academically, but more importantly, they would grow spiritually. We saw that Kingsway would be along side us, helping prepare our children for life.
Kingsway also rekindled in me my passion for teaching. I was able to substitute teach at all grade levels before joining the staff as a Kindergarten teacher. I feel so blessed to be serving God and Kingsway as I guide young learners to become what God created them to be. May God continue to bless all those who pass through its doors!
