Also, thanks to the following companies for their support and making the day a success:

KCS TAKES MATH BEE PRIZE!

April 17th, KCS hosted the Avon Optimist Math Bee. Congratulations to Nikolas Fredrikson. He was champion of his respective division! Also, KCS won the overall title of the Math Bee! Congratulations to all who participated!

The bookstore will close beginning May 15th for end of year inventory.

NOTE FROM THE NURSE
Dear Parents,
If you have dropped off any medication for your child, please stop by the nurse’s office sometime during May 19-May 29. Any medication left at school will be destroyed. Thank you for all of the encouragement and support you and your children have given us this year. We have been blessed. Have a wonderful time this summer making memories together. We have enjoyed caring for your children.
Serving Him for healthy kids,
Lori Roberts, RN & Jennifer Wall, RN

SPORTS PHYSICALS
We will have physical exams for the 08-09 sports season on Monday, May 19th, from 6-8 pm in the Family Life Center. This will be our only session this school year. Physicals cost $10 and will be effective from June ‘08-May ‘09. This will cover any KCS summer activities as well as next school year’s fall, winter, and spring sports at KCS.

ORDERING LUNCHES
There will be no hot lunches served May 27th, 28th and 29th. Please remember to send lunch with your child the last three days of school. Thank you for your help!

BOX TOPS BIG FINISH
Let's see how many box tops we can bring in by the end of the school year! Box tops are collected all year and mailed in the fall and spring just before Box top checks are issued. Help us get off to a good start before the summer break and bring in as many as you can find. Ask grandma and your neighbor to see if you can have any box tops that they don't send to a school--often people will save them for you! Have mom or dad put a container at work for co-workers to bring in box tops if their kids aren't in elementary any more. You can go to www.boxtops4education.com to print off a clip art for the container! You can also see how much Kingsway has received this year and cumulatively through this program! Thanks everyone for your help!

SUMMER INFORMATION
As summer approaches, we wanted to inform you of some dates to remember!
• Summer Office hours will be Monday-Friday, 9-4.
• The Office will be closed the week of July 7th for computer maintenance.

NOTE FROM THE BOOKKEEPER:
Kindergarten and 8th Grade Graduation is right around the corner. Please remember that your school balance must be paid in full for students to participate in graduation/closing ceremonies. Also, as the end of this school year approaches we would appreciate your help with a few things to make a smooth transition into bookkeeping for 2008-09.

- If you use supervision, final balances for the 2007-2008 school year will be available on June 2nd.

- Our policy states your student(s)’ report card will not be mailed and Edline will be blocked until balances have been paid in full.

- If your child is not returning, records will not be forwarded to the new school until the balance is paid.

Feel free to call me if you have any questions or bookkeeping concerns. My summer office hours will be 9a.m.-1p.m. Have a blessed summer!
Kim Helvaty, Bookkeeper
