I am excited to welcome you to the 2008-2009 school year! I recently graduated from Ball State University with a degree in Elementary Education and a concentration in Home/School/Community Relations. I also enjoyed studying Educational Psychology in my time at BSU. I look forward to watching the students grow in Math, Reading, Language Arts, Bible, Social Studies, and Science this year. However, more joyous than that, I cannot wait to see how the students grow in the knowledge of the Lord! As a student, I attended Kingsway Christian school from pre-school through 8th grade, and went on to complete high school at Covenant Christian High School. I am absolutely thrilled to begin my teaching career in the same place I began my educational career!
This year our specials schedule will look as follows: Monday: Music 11:45-12:15 Library 2:40-3:10 Tuesday: P.E. 12:15-12:45 Computer 1:00-1:30 Wednesday: Art 11:45-12:25 Thursday: P.E. 12:15-12:45 Friday: Spanish 9:10-9:30 Daily: AM Recess 10:30-10:50 Lunch 11:00-11:30 PM Recess 1:40-2:00
Homework should only equal 30 minutes a night. Please let me know if it is becoming more than this. Each week, you should expect your child to have the following homework assignments: Reading:Tuesday & Thursday Spelling: Weekly lessons (Test Wednesday & Friday) Bible: Weekly verses Writing: Every other Monday Math: Every other Monday & Fact Families (flashcards or oral combinations)
