I am the administrator of Kingsway Christian School. I have been the principal or administrator of KCS since 1981. My professional career began in 1969 as a social studies teacher in public schools. During my public school days, I also preached at a couple of small rural churches. In 1979, I accepted the position of school principal at South Haven Christian School in Valparaiso, IN. After two years at South Haven, I accepted the call to come to Kingsway.
Even though I thoroughly enjoyed teaching in public schools, I found a fulfillment and totality of purpose in Christian education. The Lord has truly blessed me and my family through Kingsway Christian School.
My educational background is as follows:
- B.A. from Milligan College in religion and history - M.S. from Indiana State University in political science and economics - Ed.S. from Indiana University in school administration
I grew up just a few miles west of here, on a farm outside of Roachdale, IN. My wife, Betty, and I now live in Danville. Both of our children attended Kingsway Christian School. Our daughter Stacy taught for four years at a Christian school in Nashville, TN, and is currently in her fifth year of teaching at Kingsway Christian School. Our son Jeff is a deputy sheriff for Hendricks County. Both of our children are married and Betty and I are enjoying our role as grandparents!
A verse of scripture that has been very meaningful for me is Proverbs 16:3 "Commit to the Lord whatever you do and your plans will succeed."
