Accreditation Kingsway Christian School has received accreditation as an educational institution from both the State of Indiana and the Association of Christian Schools, International (ACSI).
The State of Indiana recognizes several models for the school’s School Improvement Plan. One of the models recognized is the model used by the ACSI to grant accreditation to member schools. The ACSI model used by KCS is a self-study of the entire school. KCS, desiring to be accredited by the ACSI, chose the self-study model to obtain both the State of Indiana and ACSI accreditations.
Schools seeking accreditation using the ACSI model are required to design school improvement projects which were researched and developed by KCS school community members. Parents, teachers, administrators, and school board members all collaborated in producing the school improvement plan.
How We Measure Up (ISTEP+ Scores) During our history, Kingsway Christian School has earned a reputation for producing quality students steeped in strong academics, as well as spiritual & social skills. Because KCS is accredited by the State of Indiana, we participate in the Indiana Statewide Testing for Educational Progress (ISTEP+) each fall in grades 3 through 8.

Above are our test results and how we compare to the state average over the last several years. While our results are once again testimony to the KCS program, we do not stop here in our evaluation and improvement. Our goal is to continually upgrade and enhance our curriculum and provide greater opportunity to each and every student.
But at the same time, we have a greater goal in mind. Ultimately, we want each student to “grow in wisdom, stature, and in favor with God and man”. These are the true tests of growth and we rejoice that Kingsway Christian School can be a vital part in “total” growth!
While history and these scores show that a KCS education is an excellent and worthwhile investment, our core curriculum undergoes a constant process of evaluation and improvement. Each year a special parent-teacher committee evaluates a section of the curriculum with state standards and available resources to make recommendations whether or not to refine or update that particular subject matter. This is key to assure that we provide a quality program that yields quality results that honor families and God.
